ELC trip!

My classmates and I went to Finland Minnesota to an environmental learning center. It is where you learn about a variety of things about the earth! I thought it was a very cool experience because I don’t live where there is a lot of woods and i don’t get to see nature like I did at ELC. We tried to trap animals, hiked, and even went orienteering! It has been the highlight of my eighth grade career and probably of the last couple years!

What I learned from the video about photos and attribution is that the ways you can use it depends on what the license the creator put on the picture. For using things from Flickr it depends what license they put on it you may need to ask permission or just use attribution. On Google Images you need to ask permission to use them.

Today in class we learned about borrowing money. We watched a couple videos about about interest and debt. I found them very interesting because it will be a life skill that I will need to know for the future. One of the videos showed a college kid that bought everything on his charge card and fell into a mountain of debt. The purpose of the video was to show us what would happen if we were like that guy in the video.

What is work?

When I leave school I would like to go into computers because it interesting to me and it is a growing industry that needs workers. Work isn't always enjoyable but sometimes you just have to keep going otherwise if you quit then you will be out of that source of income.

I spend my money on lots of things. The price range varies but they all usually are under the $100 mark.  I could save my money for college instead of buying things such as iTunes cards and video games. If I saved my money for college it would be worth it later on but i don't know if i'm willing to give up buying all of my new game.
